Short Biography

I was born in Thessaloniki, the second largest city of Greece, located in the north of the country, in 1990. Since I was a teenager, I have had the desire to understand the laws that govern our world deeper. Therefore, I chose to study Physics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. During my undergraduate studies, I both had the chance to fulfil my initial, childhood dream and to realise that I wanted to specialise in Quantum Mechanics which was the reason that I moved to Utrecht in order to study Theoretical Physics. The latter decision proved to be a wise one, since it gave me the opportunity to work on very interesting projects that not only contributed to my scientific background, but also, they gave me a lot of valuable skills in order to use in my future life. After finishing my graduate studies in the Netherlands, I wanted to continue my studies as a PhD candidate. Since May 2017, I pursue my doctoral research on strongly correlated electrons as a member of the group "Theory of Magnetic Materials", led by Jun Prof. Dr. Hongbin Zhang at TU Darmstadt.
